Deborah attended her first Open Board meeting on June 27, 2017, at the ESC LHIN office located at 180 Riverview Drive, Chatham.
In addition to being a part of the Erie St. Clair LHIN Board, Deborah Crawford is a Superintendent of Education at the St. Clair Catholic District School Board, overseeing Special Education, Mental Health and Well-being, and Student Achievement in Chatham-Kent and Sarnia/Lambton.

An avid music fan, Deborah is a member of the Chatham Cultural Centre Chorale. Deborah and her husband Bob have three adult children, and when not involved in their community endeavours, they enjoy theatre, travel, skiing, and hiking.
The Erie St. Clair LHIN has a total population of approximately 636,020 people. It’s one of 14 LHINs across Ontario mandated to plan, integrate, and fund local health services including hospitals, home and community care, community health centres, long-term care homes, mental health and addiction programs, and community support services agencies. The Erie St. Clair LHIN and its Board of Directors are responsible for approximately 1.1 billion dollars of health care services delivered in Chatham-Kent, Sarnia/Lambton, and Windsor/Essex.
“We are extremely fortunate to have Deborah Crawford join our Board of Directors. Her widespread experience as a Superintendent of Education, including children with special needs and indigenous children, is clearly manifested in her broad perspective regarding health needs that was evident during her application process. In addition, she has demonstrated expertise as a Board Member engaged in strategic planning, financial audits, selection committees, job evaluations, and hiring panels. We look forward to Deb’s valuable contribution to the work of the Erie St. Clair LHIN.”
- Martin Girash, Board Chair, Erie St. Clair LHIN
“It is my great privilege to be appointed to serve on the ESC LHIN Board of Directors. I hope to apply the skills and experiences that I have gained in education and governance, support the strategic planning processes that set priorities and provide cohesion to the provision of health care in our region. I am committed to the achievement of collaborative and creative solutions to address the structural barriers that impede the attainment of overall good health and well-being for all members of our communities. I look forward to working with the Board to support positive change and innovation in the provision of health services.”
